At Camp Beech Cliff, we focus on the physical, social and emotional development of our campers by engaging them in fun and challenging activities. Our programs are designed around groups of campers becoming friends and mastering challenges together as a team. We also focus on skills-based activities. Throughout the summer, campers have the opportunity to develop progressive skills in nine program areas (such as swimming, visual arts, and nature).

We offer three grade-based camp programs:

Thunder Camp (for campers going into 2nd and 3rd grades): Designed specifically for younger campers, this program provides a developmentally appropriate setting to introduce young campers to activities in each of our program areas with lots of supervision.

Lightning Camp (for campers going into 4th, 5th, and 6th grades): Campers in this program are offered greater challenges and encouraged to take positive risks. We emphasize developing respectful interactions with peers and strong connections with counselors.

Quasar Camp (for campers going into 7th and 8th grades): With options for double and even four-period blocks for some activities, Quasar campers have the opportunity for in-depth challenge course experiences, more off-site group trips exploring MDI and special service projects for camp, Acadia National Park and our community. These campers will have the chance to develop more independence and responsibility.
