The Art of Baking
Explore sweet and savory recipes, mix-up the ultimate icing to learn piping techniques, and take everyday ingredients to create tasty decorative toppers! Join owner of 365 Bakery and Executive Director of the Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Jenny Jones, for a week of baking and decorating and fun. This will be a do-good and feel-good (and delicious) week because you’ll get a taste of your creations AND give back to the community by bringing baked good to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry. Open to 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Cost: $285/$390
Dog Days of Summer: Dog Sledding
Spend a week with the most loving, cuddly, furry creatures around- SLED DOGS! Develop a bond of mutual trust with a team of adorable and well-trained pups. Join the experts from Camp Vinca Dog Sledding to observe the mysterious mind and behaviors of the working dog, and learn how to train a sled dog yourself. You will master the skills of outdoor survival, compete in an agility obstacle course and even hike with the pups - Don’t miss it! Open to 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Cost: $285/$390
Junior Maine Guide: Canoeing, Casting, and Catching
Cast away in CBC’s premier canoeing and fishing course. You will travel to some of the best spots on the island to capture, clean, cook and eat these yummy creatures. You will learn how to paddle in a canoe, identify different fish and build a survival shelter in the woods! On Thursday you’re invited to stay for a cookout at CBC to celebrate your catch of the week! Pickup is at 8pm. Open to 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Cost: $260/$365
Teen Camps Offered:
Spend a week learning to write the next great song! Work with the Barn Arts Collective and NYC composer Andrew Lynch to create exciting lyrics and memorable melodies in this songwriting camp for teens. Don't have musical experience? No problem! We'll help uncover each individual's natural potential for writing and creating musical content.
Rock Climbing Join us in the vertical world and give rock climbing a try! This week is for beginner and experienced climbers alike. Basic belaying and rappelling skills will be instructed and refined while you and your team tackle the iconic sea cliffs and rock faces of Acadia. All instruction is provided by nationally recognized and certified climbing guides.
